Our rugs are handwoven on pedal looms by master weavers in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, and Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. The wool is handspun by a group of indigenous women from the Chamula ethnic group in the highlands of Chiapas, Southern Mexico. This all-natural handspun wool highlights a unique unevenness and tonal variations, which is one of the characteristics that makes our rugs so special. The exposed cotton warp adds further depth and texture to the surface of the rug.
We create the Color Degradé by blending natural wool tones into our naturally dyed yarn, we create a harmonious transition from color to grey. We have four colors available: forest green, brasil purple, tierra sombra and terracotta.
100% handspun wool from Chiapas, with grey crochet edging.
