Flat Weave Rug | Color Dégradé
Flat Weave Rug | Color Dégradé
Our rugs are handwoven on pedal looms by master weavers in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, and Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. The wool is handspun by a group of indigenous women from the Chamula ethnic group in the highlands of Chiapas, Southern Mexico. This all-natural handspun wool highlights a unique unevenness and tonal variations, which is one of the characteristics that makes our rugs so special.
We have developed our Flat Weave rugs to feature a beautifully rich texture. The irregularity of the handspun yarn and the exposed cotton warp add depth and texture to the surface of the rug.
We create the Color Degradé Flatweave rugs from our natural dyes combined with the natural tones of the grey wool. By blending the natural wool tones into the color/dyed yarn, we create a harmonious transition from color to grey. We have 4 colors available forest green, brasil purple, tierra sombra and terracotta.
100% handspun wool from Chiapas, with grey crochet edging.
